For me, heart to heart talks frequently take place in the kitchen.
I have a good friend, she is 70 and does not care for reptiles, and she invites me over to her usually cluttered kitchen in her tiny house and she makes me coffee and often buys treats like cheesecake to share, and we sit and talk as friends.
My son visited here the other day, he did not need anything but to just 'touch base', we sat in my kitchen and he shared his life.
When two people are ready to talk, I suppose wherever they are is a good place, after all what counts is the feelings and friendship; but somehow during my life, my most personal exchanges have taken place at modest kitchen tables.
How about you? Are there any places you feel are more conducive to others for heartfelt exchanges?
Where have your most important talks taken place?
