Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Ladies and Gentlemen,

My wife and I have started a business called Hearland Herps in Topeka, KS. After searching this name, I came across a negative thread about someone who was operating under that name, but had no other visible presence on the web other than this site. My concern is that when people search our company name, they will come across this gem and think that we are that person/company. Is there any way to redact the thread? Since the original post is over five years old, and it appears that Chris Brandenburgh is no longer doing business under the name, it seems that it wouldn't affect the integrity of Fauna Classifieds.

Things that are posted on the BOI (Board of Inquiry) are here permanently. Post and all comments that are posted here can not be edited, taken down, or redirected.
 
If you think that a past business name from another person who has a negative name on the BOI already, but doesn't seem to be in business any longer may bring a negative impact on to you two with your new business maybe you could change your business name? Just a suggestion. Welcome to Fauna! :)

Nothing beats the "common sense" approach!
 
You could also go to that thread and link this one, so that everyone would know that thread did not refer to you.
I'm assuming you've already researched trademark and all of that prior to picking your name.

Thank you for the welcome! We understand that the BOI is unchangeable, and will just have to deal with that. We are standing by the name Heartland Herps, and will show the integrity that the name deserves. It won't be too long before the negative attached to this particular name will be overwhelmed by a sterling reputation for high-quality animals and service.

Yes, we searched the name, and there was no business in the state of Kansas or trademark for the name prior to our deciding on it. Being that we are located in Topeka, it just seems like the right name for us.

Not to mention he use's different names as well, So I would not want to use the name again. Because even though your new, people will still look at previous said name and think do we want to take a chance....... Good luck
