In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Im going to have to keep my 7 ft burm in the garage this winter as im out of space and remodeling as fast as i can but with cold setting in as of now i have no choice. I am going to put a space heater out there in the vicinity of her cage but im wondering what size heat panel i should install on the inside. I have never worked with these heat panels before, only heqt tape with my racks. Im guessing thermostats are necessary? So i'm in the dark here and i would really appreciate any info and or insight.

thanks guys!

I use the RBI 40w and 80w in my 4" boamasters on thermostats. They both work about the same when set to the same temps, but the 80w has a larger hot spot area. A burm would probably benefit from the larger panel if it's a bigger snake.

I'd contact Bob at Pro Products in NY, in addition to Rich at Reptile Basics (Bob's got a wider range of sizes and wattages from which to choose). Talk to them both about your situation, see what they recommend.

While I don't know how your garage is set up, I can't help but think you're going to have to do more than a space heater and a heat panel for your burm to do well through the winter out there.
