Heat Panels for Ball Pythons & corn snake

We have built 3 - 42" long x 22" deep x 24" high cages for our corn snake and ball pythons. What size heat panel should we use and where is the best place to get them. Also, do you have to plug them into a special thermostat or can any thermostat work?
