    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have a 4 tier melamine rack with 16 q tubs running horizontally and 1 28 q diagonally , the the tub area measures 16 1/2 in wide by 24 in long , what size heat tape and configuration would u run?? im getting mixed opinions all the time .

i was thinking 11 in tape 12 in long , for each tub area ??

the smaller tubs are for kenyan sand boa babies and the larger for leapard geckos . ideas?>

I have 3" heat tape running along the back underneath my 15qt & 32qt tubs. A sheet of 11" underneath a single 15qt (in your case a 16qt) would be too much.

I have the same size tub configuration and I use 11" flexwatt. I just place it where half is under one tub and the other half is under another tub. I think it works better this way than 2'' or 3'' flexwatt. Of course doing it this way did take longer to set up, since the only way this would work if each piece of tape was spaced apart accordingly, not just having it all connected like most people would do. I also built a custom rack, and it has about 6'' of space left in the back, so the tub can be adjusted farther forward or backward to put more or less flex under the tub. I like to make things more difficult, lol. But I LOVE 11'' flex, so thats all I use.
