In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I posted this on another board but I'm going to
put it here also.
I recently purchased an AP -T10 cage for my BP.
The cage has groves routered in the bottom for heat cable.
I'm wonder if this is a good method.Does it heat the surface
evenly.
I have always used UTH's on my tanks but the thickness of the cage
makes me wonder if the inside surface will get warm enough.
Does anyone have any knowledge of heating these cages ?.

When I had a couple AP cages (had a 6x2x2 and a 4x2x1) I didn't have great luck using heating underneath the enclosures (it was alright, but if I didn't heat the room it wouldn't have been enough). If I was going to get AP cages again I'd use radiant heat panels. (RHP are my favorite and my go to heat source, and will be what I use in all instances that I can.)

I suggest setting up your new enclosure and see what temps you get and if they will do the trick for you. Good luck.

Well, I did a little experiment with the T10.
I put a UTH on the bottom and just plugged it in.
No thermostat, just full strength.I wanted to see
if it was going to be able to heat through the thick
base and reach any decent temp.
In short time it reached 98.5° :).
This is great , at least now I know I CAN maintain a belly
heat set up.I can attach another UTH to the ceiling
to keep the ambient temp in a good range.
