In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Heavy parasite load found in ball python from Ed Clark

so....

so? does this mean you state you not have complete proof? :shrug01:
not to get anyone upset but does this mean what you said? :yesnod:
The jedi do not play such games . :NoNo:

One more thing, Ed has been less than forthcoming through all of this, but it's going to be a little harder for him now...he got suspended a few hours ago.

It appears he has paid his fine. :)

It simply means that there is not conclusive proof that all three snakes have the parasites. But she DOES have conclusive proof that two of them do...and a vet's professional opinion that the third one does as well, even though they have not been able to get a stool sample from it.

And in the course of treatment, it may yet expell enough material for conclusive testing.

And what would it matter to a "master jedi" such as yourself even if all three snakes tested conclusively positive??? Would it have changed your opinion or attitude at all?

Thanks for answering Emily. So, when you said earlier that "the other fecals were clear," you were refering to all of the other snakes (i.e. the ones that you didn't get from Ed) in your collection that were clear. Is that correct?
Correct--so far all of the snakes in my collection that did NOT come from Ed have tested negative.

Two more questions...
How many of your snakes (other than the ones that you got from Ed) have you had tested because of all of this? Also, how much has all of this hassle cost you?
I have tested 13 snakes plus 2 snakes that came from Ed (15 total). Luckily, after the first fecal my vet offered to do fecals for me for free so that he could use them to train some new techs. So I have spent about $100 total, for the exam and fecal for the first snake and for medication.

My vet has encouraged me to go ahead and treat the third snake at the same time that I treat the one I just had tested (starting tonight) as opposed to waiting for a fecal. He feels that the probability of her testing positive for one or more of the same parasites is good since she came from the same source and exhibits the same symptoms as the others. For the sake of convenience and the health of the snakes I feel this may be the best plan, even though it means that I will not have complete proof that all three snakes that came from Ed have parasites while the rest of my collection does not.
Emily,
For what it's worth, I agree with your vet's approach. I think that to withold treatment of the third snake in an effort to prove the case against Ed would not be in the best interest of the snake.

The bad Karma button has been disabled.

On another note about your screenshot, allowing scripts globally is dangerous. It states so. LOL.

Interesting...what are the odds?

You got off really easy then...I expected it to have cost you a LOT more than that. Your vet is being good to you. ;)

C'mon Ed Clark,

Get your behind here and 'splain to us how Emily's collection is all healthy and parasite free except (at least!!) two of the three animals that she retained (of the six that she received from you) are ill with parasites. What would the odds be?

You sent her CH imports worth $10-15 apiece, if that, for $700 worth of geckos and you lied about it. Thats the explanation, isn't it? What else have you lied about?

Emily for what its worth I would like to thank you for bringing your issue to light. I know your intentions were honorable. Its just a shame that others cannot see this fact. I know you have been beaten down and insulated by a few BOOBs. But I think in the end alot of people will gain knowledge and have their animals tested regularly no matter who they purchased from. You did the right thing no matter what anyone says God Bless..

Glad to hear the rest of your collection appears to be clean, Emily! Good thing YOU have quarantine procedures in place, huh?

Yeah he really is--otherwise I would have spent QUITE a bit more.

Thanks John--it's actually worth a lot and I really appreciate your kind words. :)

I can give positive karma, but not negative.
Rich got rid of negative karma, but you can still give positive karma. I guess he got sick of hearing people gripe about being given negative karma. Plus, I think that he was a little sick of some of the games that "certain people" were playing.

I am not sure but I have been able to add Karma with two people. Perhaps a bug in the software.

No, a bug in the admin..... The member groups have cascading permissions. You were in a group that I did not disable that ability. Past tense, of course...... That has now been fixed.
