Been raining here in north Florida all day, with 2.27 inches of rain measured on my rain gauge. Forecast is calling for 3 to 4 more inches tonight, and then 2 to 3 more inches on Sunday. Actually fairly high percentages showing in the forecast for all of this upcoming week.
The temporary pond we have might get filled up. Which the box turtles will undoubtedly enjoy. Of course, that means the mosquitoes are likely to be getting much worse pretty soon. They have already been a pain in the butt lately. Connie and I have been wielding our handheld bug zappers whenever we go out, and we are taking a toll on them, but heck, there are a LOT of them out there. Probably need to crank up all the mosquito magnets REAL SOON.
