In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Points well made and taken. My apologies to you. Perhaps "falsifying" was the wrong word. My post was not meant to even imply speculation or accusation, it was merely sarcasm.
At any rate, I apologize for offending you and bringing your name into my post, which may be misconstrued by others. I certainly did not intend to assume/interpret how you feel by my sarcastic comment!

Disclaimer:
This was obviously a poor attempt at sarcasm, not an actual accusation or speculation:
see, that way she could claim later that shrap did that all on his own; that she trusted him to act as a proper middleman and he betrayed her by omitting important information

Omitting information and falsifying information are two different things.
Both may actually be lies. A lie of omission which is deliberately used to mislead someone into believing something other than the truth is a lie.

Take an alcoholic who goes out to run errands and stops at the bar for a couple of vodkas before coming home from the supermarket and the hardware store.

Wife: Where did you go?

Husband: I went to the supermarket and the hardware store.

Lie? You bet. The wife should not have to drag the information from her husband that he clearly wants to withhold from her.

So it really depends on what Heika wanted hidden besides the vet's name and contact information as to whether she was proposing to lie. If you say it was information that was not pertinent to the discussion then I accept that. But if it might be pertinent and may mislead readers to not divulge it, that would be a lie.

Oh it was pertinent, Jim. Otherwise I would not have refused to be the middle man. I just cant say for certain her intentions are to deceive. I aint willing to say that unless I KNOW beyond a shadow of doubt that it is true. I am willing to say that she is playing some kind of game here and doing the right thing is not as important to her as the game she is playing.

It appears to me she is not very interested in actually getting to the truth of the matter. And for that mater if there really are health issues (be it bone density issues or worm issues) that may trace back to Jim she sure aint trying to do the right thing by Jim or the animals. I know if I had a problem like she is claiming and I thought it traced back to Jim I would damn sure want myself, my vet, Jim and his vet all working together to find some conclusions. Not to place blame on anyone, but for the benefit of the animals present and future.

Thanks all ...

While a big part of the problem here is the desire of forum rats and email chums (or is it chumps ?) to be able to gossip and BS their way under the radar, I thank those that have been willing to discuss things above board, and their integrity here.

I guess to no surprise, Will Hayward of Canada has not replied to my PM, much less posted here. Who is Will? By all accounts, a hobbyist with a few chameleons who is the #1 poster in ChameleonForums.com at 1400+. Seems there is a pattern to those that want to stay out of the light and foment things without scrutiny. Again, Will's PM to Geoff, edited
Most people these days are avoiding Jim Flaherty because they believe that he is not to be trusted either while there is so much commotion about his stock. Jim likes to stir s### up and cause drama on the forums.

If you honestly wanted to find out what more than one breeder (Jim) thinks of her, why not email around to some of the other bigger breeders.

C'mon down any time you care to "stir your s###" under scrutiny Will. If you want to characterize my occasional disagreements with forum rats as you have, that is your opinion. One overwhelming difference between what you say I do, and what you and Heika and others foment, is that I do it out in the open, and you do not. I will not list the "big breeders" that I am shipping and supplying this week alone, much less last week, or next week. Whatever the sentiment is pro-Heika, or anti me and my animals, it is not to be found in the open air, now is it ? Whatever my actions and animals are WIll, they cacn withstand scrutiny. Apparently, your actions seem best left in the shadows, as that is where you put them.

And let us not lose sight that the "commotion" has been created and spread by competitors. Here's one, that I will list as his name has not yet appeared in this thread, whom has never bought or traded from me, never returned a phone call, or an email, as I have tried to bring him to contact me directly in private about the same BS he has attempted to spread about me. Very much in line with what you seem to say Will, absolutely spreading the rumor (I have six testimonials in front of me, the latest all of a week old), and to no one's surprise, recenly recommended by Heika in Chameleon Forums as a "good person to buy from". It would be John Lucas of Chameleon Paradise and Coastal Silkworms, out of Jacksonville, FL. I am not here to knock his product, or his animals, and really do not care. But his character by all things demonstrated is pretty poor, and has been such for years now. If this is not true, let John come here and deny it. Maybe some day John will try to sell on the merit of his animals, and not as he and others feel they must currently market.

C'mon Will, put what you know in the open, and link to where its been discussed. And if it hasn't seen the light of day yet, then list the folks who you got your info from. I won't be holding my breath waiting though.

Will did contact me via PM at Chameleon Forums, and misunderstandings were reconciled. Thank you Will.

Still waiting for a shadow-dweller to step up to the plate though.

hello, from the "silent reader" balcony seats! The view is great up here, I love a bit of drama *puts on opera glasses*.

I am a member here, (I joined to post good stuff about someone I dealt with a while ago) but I don't come here often - this thread was actually linked from another reptile community I belong too, that is how impressive the drama is. So yes, word is getting around, Heika, to more than just your inner circle of Leet cham bbs (or BS?) posters.

And you're not looking too good, where's the meat of your argument? Heck, I'm not even sure what your argument is anymore. All I see is you cherry picking points to half-assedly defend. Is that a word? Half-assedly?

you say something about 'what good will posting the worms do, it's not like they have 'made my cham company' written on them' Well, the good it will do is prove to us "silent readers" that you even actually HAVE worms, because right now it looks like every word you said is just blowing smoke up our, er, vents. No proof anywhere from you, and lots of slander.

You've already lost this one, if I were you I wouldn't post one more lame blame-game, and stick with the proof from here on out.

*shakes head* some peoples kids....

Geoff,
You reference getting "blasted" by another chameleon seller in the forums over this, as well as emails and/or PM's from Heika. Was the other thread taken down ? As the thread you linked to does not show any conversation between you and Heika, is the situation such that the claims were made in phone calls, PM's, or a possibly deleted thread ? Thanks.

For those of you still following this thread, this is the one that started it all with Heika and I!! You can see at the bottom of the reply's that Brad changed things that I said!!

This is a good laugh....

Thanks for posting that link. I find this post by Heika in that thread to be good for some laughs. Interesting, since she obviously doesn't practice the same advice she posts on public forums.... What a loser.

Hey, this thread is getting ugly.

Personally, I wouldn't hesitate to buy from any of the mentioned sellers. Let me add to that list... Amazing Blue Reptiles and Chameleon Company. All of the mentioned sellers above have amazing animals.. Tyler has the best looking male sambava in captivity anywhere right now, IMO. Pam has some of the most beautiful ambilobes and nosy bes I have ever seen. Mike has got some amazing WC males of a few locales. The Kammers have beautiful chameleons, too. Not sure what the fuss is all about, and being disappointed with the colors a baby grows up to display is just part of the fun. Not every baby grows up to be a mirror image of the sire, just like beautiful people sometimes have ugly children, and vice versa.

Accusing a breeder of intentionally misrepresenting their animals is serious business, and certainly should be backed up with proof before being posted on a public forum. I hope you have it. Since this thread directly affects Screameleons, I am going to email Vincent so he can defend himself.
