• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello everyone

Many thanks ! It's a shame but I think I misundersted the reality of this site
I have just a cat to care of (and an husband too, lol) and no snake, turtle or lizard or any exotic animal ! I was just in search of zoological informations and photographs for my collection. And my english is not too good either !

But cats are cute too! ;) I think it's fine if you don't have any exotic pets, so long as you have an interest in nature. A lot of people here don't own any, although perhaps they used to or want to, but just come here now to ask questions or look at photos people share of their collections. The forums can be a good place to learn about and discuss wildlife, it might be worth a try if you're looking for information. And I know English is a very hard language, but I can understand what you're saying without any real problems, it probably wouldn't stop people from wanting to talk if you shared the same interest.

I wish you the best, but if it doesn't work out here, hopefully you can find a nice French zoological forum. There's something for everyone as they say, good luck~ :thumbsup:

Hello ! It's good to have contact with someone who comfort me in trying and searching ! I find now that there are personal galleries that may be look at. That may be of some use indeed. And english or american sites are much more complete as french ones are, I have really prospected ! For curiosity look at the difference between "Wikipedia Guide phylogénétique illustré du monde animal" and "Wikipedia the free encyclopedia". They seem to be alike but just compare the number of lines of the articles for the same zoological entry !
I hope I don't give you a headache ! Many thanks once again.
