    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey guys I'm Ricky. I'm 23 with a fascination with many misunderstood creatures such as snakes and spiders. I've owned and captured many since I was 5 and recently decided I'd like to get into keeping hots (native species) and hopefully breed a few once my local dnr gets back to me with some info.

Couple things about me: I'm very meticulous in everything I do gaining tons of information before starting something new. I caught and released my first hot (water mocassin) when I was 13. I'm sure I'll catch he'll for this but I am completely dumbfounded on the appeal of the whole python morph craze. I think pythons in themselves are awesome but a python inbred for 4 generations so it'll have a crazy pattern and sell for $30,000... eh. Maybe one day I'll gain a better appreciation for the time, effort, and love people put into it even if I don't fully agree.

So that's me. Hopefully I'll acquire a lot of knowledge of the hobby/science and possibly make a few good acquaintances.

You will definitely learn a lot from the community! I spend wayyyy to much time reading on here... always something new to learn, share, or make fun of.
