In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all.

I am looking to be a new Lizard owner. My pops has a few and they are definitely neat. I'm moving to a house in a few days and after I get everything set up and have verified I have a good spot for my little buddy, I am going pull the trigger and get myself one.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Initially, the Leo Gecko is what turned me on towards them. After doing some research I still like them but a few others have caught my eye. I don't plan on doing anything for at least a few weeks-month so I can properly plan and research.

The current three I am interested are:
  • Neon Blue Dwarf Gecko
  • Chinese Cave Gecko
  • Crested Gecko

Thanks!!

I guess I should also mention that I have gone to their appearance as my main factor as of now. As time goes on I will obviously look towards maintenance and personality.

As far as personality goes, I would love to find one that is more common to letting you hold them and chill with you. Are any breeds more friendly/personable than others?

Hello and a belated welcome! I only have experience with Crested geckos but would say they are probably the easiest to care for. And Cresteds and Cave geckos are the more handle-able of those three. But the Neon Blue geckos are beautiful!

Thank you, Amanda! I've already purchased my first actually. I decided on the Crested. From what I had read I came to the same conclusion, plus they are the coolest :)

Just have to wait until it's warmer to actually get her. The plus to that is I am able to slowly purchase the supplies and do it right before she gets to me without having to drop all of the money at once.
