    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey Guys,
I am new to this board. I live in Buffalo, NY. My kids and I have had Leopard Geckos for a while now and will soon be getting a baby Ball Python. We are very excited to get him. I will be lurking around the site learning as much as I can.

There are quite a few of us around here! What type of ball python baby are you getting?
 
Yes. I'm working with a local breeder. He's hatched out a few pastels. I have been getting the habitat ready, I actually just ordered the thermostat and thermometer today. I have pretty much everthing else I need. The babies should be ready around Aug 1. We are really excited. I have 2 young kids (9 and 12). They are really into reptiles. We got 4 Leopard geckos last year and we love them. They've been wanting a snake but I'm not really a big fan. But we been doing a lot of research and spending a lot of time with BP's at local reptile shows and at Markheim (that place is great). I've really started to like them. So I finally gave in and decided to get one. We are very excited.
 
That's great! I actually live right around the corner from Markiem... Its fairly likely that the breeder your pastel is coming from is a friend of mine... And odds are I've seen you at he local shows!
 
You're proably right. We've been to the WNY Herp Show the last few times.
I am buying from Empire Reptiles. I bought 3 of my Leopard Geckos from them. Rob has been super helpful to me. He and his wife are really nice and their animals are healthy, beautiful and well cared for.
 
I was set up pretty much right next to them I believe at the last show...

I had mostly ball pythons and western Hognoses at my table (with a few crested and leopard geckos..)
 
too funny. My kids probably held some of your snakes. So were you next the people with the really awesome chameleon?
 
So, there is a video on Youtube from the most recent reptile show. The guy is a terrible cameraman, but I think I saw your table. No pics of you though. It was right next to the Empire Reptiles table. Unfortunately, he didn't get close ups of all of the snakes and stuff.
 
Yeah... I saw that video... my table was at like... 0:41-0:47, and that was it... and it doesn't look like I was even AT my table at the time... I'm pretty sure I was just randomly walking around...

I absolutely CANNOT wait till the fall show in September... I've got some AMAZING babies to display!

so yours was the table with all of the really nice clear display cases?
The guy went to fast for me to see any of the snakes. I think I saw a few albinos. There was a guy at the table in a red t-shirt.

Do you have any pastels or pinstripes for sale?

Yep! that was my table (my buddy was in the red shirt watching it for me while I was milling about...
