• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

 Hello to all,

I am new to this forum and just wanted to introduce myself. I am a part of another forum too but wanted to expand the horizons to see how much more information I could gain from each person that I encounter. I have Russian Tortoises and I am fairly new to them but simply adore them! I hope to chat with anyone who has them as well. I am trying to learn all that I can from experienced persons. I look forward to it!

Have a great day!

Lisa

I know it is Herp....I was just trying to be funny. I guess I was the only one giggling. Sorry...I am not that stupid! ;-) Hello to all of you too.

Welcome to another Texan :)

It's OK to like herbs as well as herps. I went to Home Depot and got 2 whole flats of herbs like basil, oregano, etc. to grow in with the veggies.

Welcome back!

I really was joking! ;-) Yes...yippee...a Texan! Now I know this place is ok. hehe. Where abouts in Texas do you live? I am in San Antonio...the home of the Alamo and the wonderful Riverwalk! What kind of animals do you have?

I was born in San Antonio; I live in the Houston area now. I got lots of critters but for herps I got only lizards now: uros, beardies, blue tongue skinks and a veiled cham. And you?

I have lot's of animals too but the only reptiles that I have are my 2 Russian Tortoises which I totally adore! They are really intriguing creatures. I enjoy watching them so much and hope to obtain some more soon.

Actually no I didn't. Which are you referring to? I am still new to this and I would like to attend some for myself but also my little 7 year old reptile loving daughter! She hasn't found one yet that she didn't love! Her cousin has an iguana and a large python and she just fell in love with them. I can't do those, but the tortoises I love so it is a compromise.
