In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello....My name's Jeff and I'm 42 years old. Has been quite a few years since I've owned a reptile but used to take care of my share. Actually worked in a small reptile wholesale business for a while and enjoyed that a lot. Took my share of bites from those nice calm ball's while I was at it. lol Can't say I blame them after what they went through to get here. So anyway, working there got me good prices which got me started on a collection of Boids, burms, loved my retics, and eventually worked my way into some hots. All local species but some copperheads, and I raised a few timbers from buttons to three years give or take. They were all doing great; but I got a new job and went though the uprooted routine. Had to let everything go and take a break. Have been in my own house for a few years now and have the itch to get back into it. Drawing up plans for either and EDB or a Gabby. Cage will be big enough for either and I'll probably end up making two and not needing to compromise. Not too bad if I do say so myself....So now you know a little bit about me. I look forward to learning a bit from you. I'm sure the site will be invaluable with both being completely new species for me.

Welcome to the forum Jeff. Good luck with your new prospects when you get them. I've never owned or handled hots. I know me too well and would make a serious mistake too easy.

Living in Texas I see lots of WDBs, LOL. I have always thought the Gaboons are beautiful along with many of the other hots.
