In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all!

I'm a newbie to the world of herp keeping for the most part. I kept newts as a kid and raised tadpoles from frog eggs in the summer. Ever since I was 8 years old I wanted a lizard. I really wanted an anole, mainly because that was the extent of my 8 year old knowledge of the reptile world. I wanted a snake too, but I knew that those were off limits.

I am now 21 and finishing up my last year of undergrad schooling as a psychology major before starting the long journey toward a PhD in psych. I am also about 3 months away from being able to complete a life's goal, I am getting crested geckos this summer. If all goes according to plan and my fiance and I are able to rent the apartment we've been looking into we will be able to get two cresties this summer. We're going to go to the Western Pa Reptile Expo in Mars, Pa on June 13th and hope to bring home two little cresties.

The main reason I joined Fauna Classifieds is because I wanted to try to find out about breeders who will be or may be at the show. I just want to be able to bring home two healthy geckos from responsible breeders. I'm hoping that I will be able to learn from all the folks here who are knowledgeable about herps and herp breeders.

See you around! :)

Thanks for the welcome.

I would consider the fundraisers, except I've already spent close to $200 on all the supplies I'd need for two cresties, so I don't think a Leo would be very happy with me.

I decided to start buying their supplies waaaay ahead of time since I am still a student and there is never a time when I've got $2-300 in my bank accounts that I can use for stuff like that. So I figure if I buy some things now when I can get some nice deals and when I've got a little extra cash that would be much less of a hit to the bank account.
