    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, I just joined FC today. I'm really new to reptiles in general, to be honest. After a few months of research, I got my first----and currently only----leopard gecko in July. She's pretty amazing and if I start talking about her, I'll never shut up. I've also got three cats and three rats.

My next herp is going to be a bearded dragon. I've got the 55G all set up for him/her and everything. One day, I'd love to get a B&W tegu.

I feed almost entirely frozen thawed mice and pretty much never touch them with bare skin. But the few times I've had to feed live pink/fuzzy mice to a stubborn snake and had to handle them, I've never had a problem. So not sure if it's just rats that I'm so allergic to or what.

Must just be rats. That really is too bad. I've got one rat exploring my desk, another on my shoulder, and one cuddled in my shirt as I type. I can't imagine not having the little buggers.

No, no bengals. Just your garden-variety domestic short hairs. Only one of my cats even has known breeds in her heritage and that's only because she screams like a Siamese when she's upset (often because she is a persnickety little critter) and and that Mau skin-flap.
