In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm from England, now living in Texas.

Hope you enjoy posting to Fauna. :)

Hello,

Oh wow, that is a very long move!! I hope Texas is good to you, we liked it. We go back & visit somewhat often.

Tracie

Married a Texan and we decided that Texas was a better place to bring children up than England, apart from the lack of landscape up in the Panhandle, its nice and the people are friendly etc.

Hello,

Yeah, people are pretty nice in Texas. The hillcountry out towards Boerne is very pretty. The panhandle is nice as well, & it get pretty cold out that way, too. San Antonio was right on the outskirts of the hillcountry.

Yes, we are having fun with the weather right now :yesnod: Snow storms and Winter Storm watch etc.

Hope you enjoy it on Fauna, I've only just started posting (after lurking for a while) and so far everyone seems nice and they certainly know about their animals :)

Hello,

You must live in north texas? Dallas & Austin both get bad weather. San Antonio really didn't get that bad of weather, ice every once in awhile but snow every 20 years I think was what my hubby said.
We are having a little cool front here, but nothing really. It has been in the low 80's recently, now it's in the 70's...oh, poor us!!! LOL

That's right. I live just North of Amarillo, very cold and wet here right now.

Low 80's? Ohhh you must be freezing :D
I'm complaining about the cold now but just wait till Summer. 80's is a heatwave in Britain, I spent all last summer muttering that 90's/100's was un-natural and staying inside sitting by the A.C (I was pregnant though so heat + pregnancy= not a happy Kerry :) )

Hello,
Oh Amarillo does get cold!! Yes, we are freezing down here, LOL!!
Wow, being pregnant during that hot summer must have been horrible. Yuck. It gets hot down here, but not as hot as in Texas, but it's really humid so it feels so sticky.
Gosh, it doesn't get warm at all in Britain at all! Well, 80 is warm, but that is it huh?

80 is a heatwave in Britain. Apart from this year(2006), it hit the 90's for the first time I've ever known, the asphalt was melting on the roads, people were panicking as that sort of heat is unknown there.
My mother was emailing me complaining because we don't have A.C in the houses over there (no need usually)
That was a shock to my husband when we lived over there, he is Texan and even when the summers were 60/70 degree's he would complain as we don't have air conditioning.
Luckily its not humid up here. Spent a little time in Dallas in the summer and the humidity makes the heat so much more unbearable.

Off to bed, while the baby is sleeping (she has her days and nights mixed up so I'm going to take advantage of the fact she is asleep right now)
Goodnight :)

Hello & thanks!

Ah, no ac there huh? I bet your hubby was complaining some about not having it. The humidity kills you bad!! It makes it feel like it is 20 degrees hotter! The heatwave last year was bad for you all there.
The baby was napping so it was time for your nap too? Great!!

I have a 2month old daughter (as well as 3 boys), who has her days and nights confused so I'm usually awake till 4am+ with her, when she naps I try to as well.
