In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I thought King too, but the nostrils are smaller than I thought King's have, though yes, head scales are right. Gotta be a cobra though.

I'm going to have to disagree with the overall "Cobra" consensus here and say that I'm 90% positive that that's a colubrid of sorts. Perhaps an eastern rat snake sp.? It'll be almost impossible to get a definitive ID off of that picture though.
But it's pretty obvious it's not a Naja sp., on hooded cobras you can see the small loose scales on the underneath sides of the neck that they use to "hood up." This snake obviously doesn't have that. Also, the snake appears to be in a defensive posture, I've never seen a Naja sp. or king for that matter, adopt a defensive posture like that. And if that's a king cobra, it's the oddest colored one I've ever seen.
It could possibly be some sort of Australian elapid, but I doubt it, I'm still betting on "colubrid."
It might be helpful to tell us what website you saw the snake on. Obviously if it was a site about the rainforests of Thailand, that'd be a huge tip.
