    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Help, ill dragon!!!

Hi, I have about 7 bearded dragons, all are healthy and big. Except for a young male which i got who was healthy at first. He is about 5 months but only 150g. Lately, i've also noticed that he has been forcfully exhaling and inhaling. He has some mucus around his mouth, and clogged nostrils which i cleared. I look up his conditions and knows he has a respiratory problem. I know its not due to humidity however because it is low. ANyone know whats wrong with him? He is kept with 2 other juvis who dont bother him. He is also developed something on his eye. It has been kept shut alot lately. And a goo is sometimes on his eye. Whats wrong with that? is he going blind?. Help please!

It sounds like he has an upper respiratory infection. You need to bring him to a vet and get him started on antibiotics. It would also be wise to get some antibiotics for his cage mates as well. The last thing you want is all of your dragons getting sick.

Take this seriously, letting this go could kill your dragons.

It definitely sounds like a repiratory infection, and he needs to go to the vet ASAP for antibiotic treament. Make sure he is well hydrated and warm in the meantime, and it would probably be a good idea to separate him from his cagemates if possible. They should be kept separately from your other dragons as well.

Your beardie could be developing pneumonia. Pneumonia can be fungal, viral, parasitic, or bacterial (most likely). A visit to a good reptile vet is highly recommended!

We had a dragon who was doing the same breathing thing. We brought her to one vet and he gave her an injection of Baytril every other day for 6 injections. This didn't help her one bit. We brought her to a more knowledgeable vet and he prescribed Sulfa/Trimeth. We gave her a dose (by mouth) twice a day for two weeks. She is better than ever now. Her eating improved, her appearance improved and she is so much more active now!

Maybe this will help you in some way. Good Luck and hope he gets better soon!
