    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

She is a 3 year old Mali and a week ago she stopped eating, 3 days later her body stayed turn to the right and she is twitching her head. Now her back legs are not really working right and she keeps randomly flipping on her back getting stuck like that. Please any advice.........

neurological disorder?

Emily,
I am not a vet, but have hands on experience. Is it possible she got over heated? If you have a thermometer in the tank on the hot end, near the basking spot, it should go no higher than 115 for mali. Temps will raise thruout the day and become hottest in the afternoon. In summer with hotter temps you have to switch light bulbs to lower wattages to maintain proper temps, and turn off completely early in the day on the hottest days.
Symptoms of neurological disorders are head tilted, looking up, and a rolling imbalance. It can sometimes be reversed if not too bad by rehydrated him daily with drops of water and reptile pedialyte(?) and a drop or 2 of calcium daily. Give her a soak but you have to hold her or she will roll and drown. Dry her well, and keep hydrated being careful not to get fluids in her lungs.

Good luck!

Thank you. The vet said soak her for 30 MIN a day and force feed baby food. She has a 55 gal terrarium basking spot 115 and 82 ambient.

I hope your uro is doing better. I just had a similar "not eating" experience with my two Ornate Uromastyx. I think the low heat and light contributed to them not eating, and one developed an impaction from resulting dehydration. If not too late, you might find that bumping the basking spot way up to 130-140 helps out. Mine are almost back to normal and are eating and very energetic as a result of a brighter, hotter tank. Just make sure the cool end remains 85 or so.

She is doing much better she has got her appetite back and her rear legs are moving good again and she can straighten her body but her spine still has a little curve to it but I'm happy with her progress
