    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just got this email from some one about some ratsnakes My sons have for sale and I have NEVER done Business like this and I also Dont know anything about this person Ok here is the email We got... Would someone let me know if they know them or not!! PLEASE take a look at the persons last name on the email address and look at the last name of the person she Gave Us for a contact person :~~~~

couple bad experiences buying from people online,its nothing personal but If
you can send me the snakes through DHL,which is about the cheapest,under 10
bucks for DHL ground service,as soon as I recieve the snakes alive and well
I will send you a money order for 50 plus the 10 for shipping.I will even
recomp you for whatever supplies you have to get to ship the
snakes,ie..box,cool packs,whatever.I am true to my word here is the name of
a guy that I buy snakes from all the time and he always ships them out then

your money as long as the snakes arrive alive and in good health.Let me know

First off snakes shouldn't be shipped ground. No live animal should. They should be shipped overnight, which is a lot more than 10 dollars.

I wouldn't ship them and it seems she gave you her husbands e-mail to verify her "loyality". Personally i wouldn't do it. You don't walk into a store and tell someone you will pay for the movie if you like it or not.

Tell her thats not how you do business, and if she won't pay first, then she won't get snakes.
 
It's a 100% scam...don't send a thing...never speak with them again...block them from your e-mail...simple as that...never send without proper communication, payment, etc. That's my personal opinion. Hope I've been helpful in one way or another. Have a nice weekend. Also, you would never ship any live animal by ground service...that would be completely unacceptable by anyone in this business/industry...animals would die...simple as that...take care

This is an obvious attempt at trying to take advantage of someone who does not know any better.

You ship them snakes and you will never see the money. I don't know of a single breeder or even a hobbyist that will ship first and receive payment later from someone they don't know.

And NEVER ship any live animal ground. It's stuff like that that ends up in the newspapers giving everyone else in the industry a black eye. Because 6 days later the animal has died and started stinking.

You are doing the right thing. You should never ship an animal to someone you do not know without receiving payment first.
 
I agree 100% with the others here. I would never ship without payment first. As the seller, you should not have to bend that way. If the potential buyer is truly wanting to make the purchase, they will send the money first. If not, you can always make the sale to someone else. You always have the choice, and you shouldn't feel bad about it, ever. This is just my opinion.

Very good, remember, these are your snakes and you are in control. It is amazing the way people try to rip others off. I have had bad online experiences, but I do not take them out on others. I may be very specific because of the things I have had to deal with, but I do not order around the ones I want to buy from.
 
You are doing the right thing. It’s obvious the buyer knows how things work on-line. He knows that he has to pay first to receive the animals later. He also knows shipping ground is the least-expensive way to ship the animals. He doesn’t care at all if they arrive alive or dead. Why? because he is not paying for them upfront and he is probably not willing to pay for them in the end. If they arrive alive his got some free animals. If they arrive dead he throws the package and the contents in the garbage. Disgusting as it is there are people that think that way.
