    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I'm in a bit of a pickle with my juvenile carpet python. So I have a European mount of the buck I shot this past hunting season and I was gonna take some pictures of him on it. I guess that wasn't a good idea because he went into a hole in the back of its head and is now hiding in the skull of the deer mount. How do I get him out?

Put the skull inside of an escape-proof container.....and wait.
^^ this

OR

Fill up your bathtub and slowly submerge the skull under water, the snake will come out for air... just don't drown a dumb* snake that doesn't move.

*just like people, not all snakes are necessarily that bright;)

This. You could also use a really large container and put the skull on one side and a f/t feeder on the other to try to lure him out. I managed to get a king snake out of a speaker once by enticing him out with a feeder.

I have the skull sitting in a big Rubbermaid container rn. I have a hole for air and I put a big heave picture on top that he won't be able to lift up because I don't have a lid for it. I put out a mouse to thaw to try to lure him out tonight, he hasn't ate in almost a month because I recently got him not even 2 weeks ago. But if he doesn't come out within the next 2 days then I'll try to slowly submerge it

It is more likely to come out at night. It is also more likely to come out if you place the container in a warm area.

My room is always pretty warm so that's not a problem and also I have his meath pad on the opposite side of where he is. I have to work tonight though so I'll have my dad check at sundown

Line the Rubbermaid tub with aluminum foil so if the snake comes out you you'll hear it moving around.

It's still in the head and it's been since sunday night. Won't he be pretty dehydrated? Should I start to worry if he's not out tomorrow?
