    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

HELP PLEASE!!!!!

My little brother has a beardie that seems to be impacted he was running around yesturday and today he's doing like a army men crawl. He seems to be in pain when he walks. Is there anything I can do to help his beardie out anything please I don't want to see his beardie die.

How big is it [ measure it if you can, most guesses are way off] Also, what has it been fed....and how large were the food items ? Do you know what substrate it's kept on? You can try soaking it in warm shallow water and rubbing the belly gently. Don't do that too late, if you do, be sure to dry it off well before lights out so it doesn't get chilled. You can also try a few drops of vegetable oil given by syringe, that might help get something through. If he has a reliable reptile vet, that would be the next step. Let us know how it does.

Give us a rundown of how you keep your beardie. Lights including uvb, substrate, hides, water, types of foods, supplements, how big your cage is, etc. Do the limbs seem flimsy? Could we be dealing with MBD?

He is 9 3/4 inches long he has a basking spot at 105 and cool side is at 87 the tank is a 75 gallon tank he is on playsand as a subtrate has hiding logs and has branches for climbing . He is fed cricket and veggies but preferred crickets they get dusted ofcouse. I should mention he also has a female in there that is about 1/2 an inch smaller. His limbs do look weak he will stay in the same spot for hours. When he does try to move he seems like he can't even move without a struggle.

Not that this is related, but the cool side should be down around 80,87 is a bit high. Like Jordan ang mentioned, it also sounds a bit like calcium deficiency is a possibility...are you SURE he was running around the other day? Because calcium deficiency that would affect him that much usually starts with twitching toes and limbs and takes a few days. Try what I suggested in my first post, but also try giving him some calcium in a syringe and get him out in the sun for a half hour or so [ not at the hot part of the day ] and be sure to have him in the grass supervised or a screened cage, not in something that will heat up. The UVB from the sun can reverse calcium deficiency if you catch it quickly enough.

thanks angie i will try that early in the day tomorrow. His belly seems bloated that's why I thought he might be impacted.I did notice his back leg twitching earlier today but it was only one of them the right one I believe.

Well I just got in from work and checked on the dragons.he is moving around a lot more today then yesturday. He is still not feeling well I can see it in his eyes. He still looks bloated and not interested in anything at all but he is moving a little better today so thats good. I have him sun bathing now hopefully he can get back to normal soon.

That's good...what type of enclose do you have him in out there ? It's really hot now, so you have to be sure it's a screened enclosure or else in a mostly shaded area...or on the grass, since he can't run, but you'd have to be with him of course.

I had an old hamster cage laying around so what I did was took the top cage off and used that. He wasn't in direct sunlight. I brought him in because i was thinking the same. It's hot out there.
