    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Can some one explain to me, what breed into what produces, we'll say albino, and what produces 100% hets, 66% hets, 50 % hets. I just don't understand breeding what hets will produce what hets. I see in the adds that people are selling hets and I don't know what they will produce or if I breed hets what they will produce. If anyone has a site I could go to or any info that would help me out, it would beappriciated.

The percentages are the statistical odds that the individual animal is a het.

het albino X normal
1/2 normal, and 1/2 hets. Since the hets are indistinguishable from the normals, they're said to be 50% possible hets

het albino X het albino
1/4 albino, 1/4 normal, and 1/2 het. Two out of every three normal-looking offspring are theoretically hets, hence they are 66% possible hets

albino X het albino
1/2 albino, and 1/2 hets (these are deemed to be 100%, since there's no statistical chance of them being normal)

albino X albino
all offspring would be albino

So it doesn't matter what percent I breed with what percent I will get the same or does the greater percent produce more of the trait.

Basically if it's a recessive morph (like albino) then a baby needs to get the gene from both parents to be homozygous and show the trait. So both parents have to at least carry one copy of the gene (i.e. be at least heterozygous albino if not a visible homozygous albino). The % tells you the chance that each parent caries the gene from their parents. In the end, it either is a het or it isn't, the % just tells you how likely it is to be a het based on the genes it might have inherited from it's parents. If either of your pair turns out to NOT be a het (misses on their chance) then you don't have a chance of producing an albino.

Now that hets are relatively inexpensive people generally buy 100% het males (i.e. for sure het) but might still buy possible het females since they are cheaper and you could buy several increasing your chances that one will eat well and grow up and breed quickly.
