In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

thank you any help is much appreciated

Pilbara Monitor (Varanus bushi), also known as Bush's Monitor

Black-headed Monitor (Varanus tristis)

Emerald Tree monitor (Varanus prasinus)
Kimberley rock monitor (Varanus glauerti)
King's Goanna (Varanus kingorum)
Mitchell's water monitor (Varanus mitchelli)
Short-tailed monitor
Peacock Monitor (Varanus auffenbergi)
Stripe-tailed Goanna (Varanus gilleni)
pygmy desert monitor (Varanus eremius)
Spiny-tailed Monitor or Ridge-tailed Monitor (Varanus acanthurus)
Stripe-tailed Goanna (Varanus caudolineatus)
Timor Monitor or Spotted Tree Monitor (Varanus timorensis)

Unfortunately there is no true set price range as people charge varying rates. The rarer the monitor the higher the price and most on your list I don't think have been exported before the trade lines closed and if they were I am almost 100% certain they're not being bred.

Look on Kingsnake.com classifieds and on Fauna and see what you can find but other then ackies and argus most of the dwarf Aussie species sell for $500 -$1k a piece.

yea i've been looking around a bit even emailed the people at canadiancoldblood.com i've seen ackies for 100 and for as much as 400 and timors for 150 to as little as 70 just trying to get some average prices thank you

Why should the price matter? If you like it and more importantly KNOW what your getting into it should not be relevant. Almost every monitor on your list are available, however there requirments are all over the place - terrestrial - arboreal - tropical -desert -

price should be the last of your worries, not to mention on average your costs of proper set up and diet will be 10x's the amount you spend on your new charge.

if you don't have anything helpful to say don't reply i build my own set-ups its not that expensive and breed my own mice rats and crickets and most on my list don't need close to 10' cages

i just wanted to know how much to save up

10' ? what does that mean? if you read my post, which is HELPFUL diet and cages will be 10 X's the amount you pay for the lizard. It doesn't matter if you build enclosure and breed your prey items, in the end it WILL add up to more than the price you pay..as I stated if you like and want the lizard you find the price won't matter.

Prices will vary, that's the way it goes - most of the monitors you have listed range in price from $1500 down to $100 as well as unable to purchase..Mitchelli - Keithhornei

there is no "Australain Ban" - it's a law that protects their native fauna.

I've been doing alot of research on Ackies. The yellows are cheaper than the reds for some reason. They are recommended by most people as a first monitor. The yellows seem to run around $200 and reds run about $300. U should also check out the pro exotic website. They have alot of helpful info on building enclosures.
