In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

MY SNAKE GOT OUT AND I CANT FIND IT!!!
THIS IS WHAT I KNOW
1.it probaly got out yesterday night
2.it is about 15in it was in a 20gal
I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
ITS ALL MY FAULT

Steve,

Is the room you kept the snake in closed off from other rooms, or is it an open area?

Look under places where its warm; i.e. computer monitors, ovens, refrigerators, appliances. Under sofas are another favorite spot. Good luck!

Bring a flash light to bed with you and about 1/2 hour to and hour after all the lights are off walk through house/apt with the flash light. Don't turn the lights on. For a corn snake look up and down. Not just on the floor.
Look in drawers, under couch cushions etc. They get into pretty small places. But there's no reason to tear the house apart because if a 15" corn has found a hide spot the odds of you finding it while it is hiding are pretty slim. Your probably only going to find it when it is on the move.
Also leave a water dish out along a wall in some secluded spot.If it finds it it may keep coming back to that spot each night.
You can also leave some caged mice around. The corn will definitely find them.

if you have a cat, let him sniff around the room where it got out (supervised of course). Cats are GREAT at hearing movement you and I would miss.

Good Luck!

Try cutting the top quarter off a 2L pop(soda) bottle, inverse it, tape it on and leave a f/t mouse inside, put this trap somewhere around the edge of the room the snake escaped in, also if you have wooden floors, leave talc, or some other powder on the floors at doors etc. in order to track the snake.
