Randy,
In the email we've exchanged I felt like neither one of us really understood the other one. I just want to say, however, that the way you've turned around your attitude this last couple days is very impressive. You don't know how happy I am that MotherGecko and some of these other wonderful people have been able to get some real communication going with you and that you seem to be taking it in!
So, as for me, I'll leave the husbandry advice to the experts, but make a comment both to you and your benefactors:
Randy, you have put yourself into a situation where with a lot of time and effort you can learn to be one of THE VERY BEST herp breeders out there. I hope you realize what you have at your finger tips. The level of support you've recieved via this forums actually blows my mind, and if you avail yourself of this opportunity, then in a few years you will be able to say that you learned from the best and most dedicated herpetologists in the country.
Again, I'm impressed by your change in attitude. Keep that mindset, and put in the time and effort required to truely understand what it means to not only own herps, but perhaps breed them as well. When you're 25 and a respectable herpetologist you can trust that nobody in their right mind will hold a grudge that when you were 14 you didn't take good care of your herps. (I'd like to hear from ANYONE who is convinced they didn't make any dumb mistakes when they were 14.) Your transgressions are forgivable, as long as you stay on the path you have now chosen, but wander back to the dark side and you bring us all down a notch with you. This is bigger than you, now <img src="http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='

(sheesh, somebody needs to get out more often. *points at oneself*)
