    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

my hermans is about a year and 1/4 old, eats great and appears healthy, it doesnt like to be picked up for more then a minute or so and it would let me know this by urintating after about 30secondss or so of holding it. so i try to minimize handling it as much as possible. but as of recently (a few weeks or so) when i pick it up, it appears to invert its intestine (or so it would appear) now it doesnt appear like the tort. is in any pain (as far as i can tell) but it's still concerning to me none the less. this 'inverted intestine' comes out about 1/2 - 3/4 of and inch, and will retract when i place it on its feet again. it looks like a purplish redish slimy 'tube' and today after i put it on its feet about 10-15min later i heard it make kind of a gurgling sound and noticed it had inverted again, and retracted back in shortly after. does anyone have any idea what could be the cause of this, and any possible solution. it is currently on a daily diet of tortoise pellets sprnkled with a bit of calcium supplements and every few days i give it some fresh greens (romain lettuce, dandylion...)

also if it would be helpfull i can try to get a picture of this, but i only want to do that if it will be of any help, as i feel bad picking it up if its not needed.

and also i should add that it doesnt always do this when i pick it up, but most of the time it does.
