In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

herp newbie in Ohio

Hi Luk--

Yeah, we lost about $400 dollars of show ducks (australian spotteds and black east indies) and chickens (black langshans) in an afternoon. These were our holdbacks for our 2012 breeding season, and the spots were the 3rd or 4th generation of my daughter's project, all down the drain. Absolutely unreal. Horrible, horrible day.

If you're just north of us, did you show 4-H in Knox County? What projects? What herps?

I've had ball pythons and leopard geckos. I've gotten away from them though. I just recently got a Columbian Tegu and am getting a few gargs from a person on here. Gargs are pretty similiar in care as the crestids.

I attended the Richland county fair and the Bellville Street fair. I showed market chickens for 7-8 years.

Hi Luk--

Market chickens--broilers or commercial pullets/hens?

I'm not familiar with Bellville's street fair--any info?

Gotta admit I'm not much of a larger snake person (garters are about as big as I want to go, lol), and prefer things that are insectivores (hate the thought of feeding birds/mammals to a herp). Yeah, I know it's not rational, esp when I've had roosters named "fried chicken," "Chicken and dumplings," "Sunday dinner," etc (all mean birds) who have been delicious when we've had them for dinner....Let me know how the gargoyles do!
