In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Info Herpterra

Uh.......what?

I will say I still don't understand why this was posted in the first place, but...if someone is ignorant enough to pack up all of their animals (including some that were have going to have just gone through shipping a very short time before) and haul them around just to "show them off"...completely oblivious to the stress it causes them, not to mention anything else they would potentially be exposed to (if you were going to take these new womas along too, I'm guessing that means you don't quarantine?)...all for the sake of showing off and inflating his own ego, at the expense of the well-being of the animals...I sure as heck wouldn't do business with him. What a :censored:.

If you want something to haul around and show off, maybe you should try something that isn't ALIVE.

Yeah, why not take pictures of your snakes and take them to show and tell?:ack2:

This has got to be one of the more pointless BOI threads I have seen. In fact, if [email protected] hadn't posted his comment, I would have moved it out of this forum.
Now, sadly, this thread has to stay here. Hopefully, this will quickly sink to the middle of the pile...and anybody else that wants to offer feedback about herpterra will start another thread. :shootfoot:

You know what this sounds like:

The buyer sent Mr. Clark an E-check for some Womas.
The buyer wanted Mr. Clark to send the Womas before the check had cleared so he could unbelievably drag them around in some strange show-n-tell.
The buyer supposedly got drunk and lost his wallet.
The buyer starts a thread here preemptively to head off a possible Bad Guy thread that he thinks Mr. Clark may start when he finds out there are no funds to cover the E-check, ( hence the "got drunk" and "every other E-check I ever wrote was good).
The buyer has unwittingly brought attention to his shall we say "sketchy" practices instead of just contacting Mr. Clark in the first place and saying I've changed my mind, and the E-check won't clear anyway.

Yeah, Kyle....I think that sums it up.

I'm kinda glad this is here. It shows the bad judgment that herpterra tends to make. It brings major questions on his animal care when he wants to take a newly acquired animal on a road trip so he can show off to his friends. Forget quarantine or establishing a good feeding regimen, he needs to show it off or apparently it's not worth having. He even said himself "I dont need them after this weekend they arnt of age for any season yet so i chose to pass"

He cancels payments without ever letting the seller know about it. Instead he goes into a public forum and calls himself out. He claims to "have every possible morph you could ask for in my ball collection except a WOMA". But the photo gallery on his site only has one picture of a normal. I know if I had all these morphs I'd sure be quick to show them off. Not to mention the other personal things he brought up that he shouldn't have.

I just don't see him as the type of person I'd be comfortable buying from. So I'm glad he called himself out. I like to buy from those that show good judgment and strive for excellence with regard to animal care. I just don't see that here.

:iagree:

I think not only does it gives potential BUYERS good information, but folks who may be SELLING to this guy too.

Now, if I had sold the average buyer an animal, say he got it on a Thursday, and on Monday he called me and told me that it was dead...I may very well be inclined to still offer at least partial refund, replacement, that sort of thing, simply because I feel that any animal that I sell should be 100% healthy, and perhaps there was something wrong that I didn't or couldn't detect before shipping it, because a normal, well packed shipping trip should obviously not cause an animal to die a couple of days later.

However...knowing that this guy thinks so little of the welfare of the animals, and would be willing to take a newly acquired animal and haul it around on a roadtrip immediately after that shipment....well, I sure as heck wouldn't want to sell to him - for my financial sake as well as the sake of the animal. I'm going to bet that he wouldn't have told me that he took it on this little ego-trip, he'd just all and tell me that the animal had died and he had no earthy idea what happened to it.

No doubt! We should encourage buyers and sellers with at the very least questionable husbandry standards and erratic as well as circumspect business practices to come on the BOI and flaunt them so potential buyers and sellers know what they're in for.
The interesting thing about this thread is that there is a good chance that if the deal hadn't gone through with Mr. Clark (as planned with bouncing E-checks) that Mr. Clark wouldn't have even considered it worthy of a BOI thread.

....

Tis funny how one can misinterpret things in such a nature as to force a slandeous judgment on someone I have on my site only what i want I Practice in every motivating minute of my day positive and proactive measures to maintain my animals be it from a feeder roach to my argus'. I have been buying every possibly ball python morph i can through out the last 3 years so as to reach and be a major breeder in my area of the world. My knowledge isnt in that of morphs per se but in the natural breeding of "origanal" animals. However, I find these "morphs" as fascinating and in time will learn about all their little genetic quirks. Everyone has a goal from the hobbyist breeder to the large scale farms.

I know i opened myself up to this I am not ashamed, if you do not wish to buy from me, that is all you. I like my dealings with the zoos i have supplied and the countless people i still get calls from, happy customers, happy animals, happy world.

The reptile industry have seen its share of scumbags. An echeck of 600 clams would have cleared my bank (must i scan my bank statment).

I have already spoken my piece I know what a bone head idea this is to post and really i dont need people trying to talk :censored: about something you dont know. The BOI is to help so help.

Your personal views as I feel they are based on misinterpreted details are yours and i respect that, so beat this dead horse if you want to, but your not going to beat me.

I will maintain a positive head in this and am always open for suggestions on being more in tune with things, but I am just getting into the public sector selling, most of my career has been strictly zoos and petstore animal supplying.

If you have any advice please kindly send it my way if not than look cool and post it here.

Mr. Clark was infromed via email before i even posted that i didnt need them, not detailed, but informed that i was cancelling. there after i sent him another and said either he can cancel on his end or i would pay the 29$ fee to cancell it at my bank, no harm no foul, the world keep on a turnin'

So again thank you for your time and your very informative constructive criticism for those trying to help. And to the rest who are negative, .... may your businesses prosper and may you sow the glorious benefits of karma.

I find it really hard to believe you have EVERY ball morph except womas. Especially since you didn't even know what kind of blue eyed lucy you said you had.

If you have any advice please kindly send it my way.

Advice;
1. Stop drinking and posting.
2. Learn correct english.
3. Learn how to use the spell check button.
4. Stop bringing up this thread, you are making yourself look worse each time you post.

BTW, How is the weather down there?

My Advice:
Just this one thing.
If you don't want attention brought to yourself then Don't bring attention to yourself by going out of your way to bring attention to yourself.

What zoo's have you supplied?

Randal Berry

I think he has supplied the zoo in his mind. The original post and all his justifications that follow make him look so incredibly unprofessional.

OK, so I was wrong...my bad!
If you are concerned about the number of bytes being taken up on the server, why DID you post your own [INQUIRY] regarding you backing out of a deal with Mr. Clark?
If you feel that grievances don't belong in public:
1. why DID you post your own [INQUIRY] regarding you backing out of a deal with Mr. Clark?
2. why did you jump into the other thread?
3. WHAT ON EARTH DO YOU THINK THIS FORUM IS PARTIALLY ABOUT????
I'm sorry, I really don't mean to be rude, but you did start the post yourself and kind of opened yourself up for what's about to come your way.

:iagree:

HOLY COW!!!! Bring it up yourself, get defensive and then knock the system YOU CHOSE to post it all on.

Yep, makes perfect sense to me. LMAO
