    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just joined this site so I guess it's good to post an introduction. I have used forums before so I won't be needing any help on that part, but really what I'm interested in is knowing what this site is about.

I joined thinking it was sort of a general discussion board about reptiles and the like, but I keep seeing the word "classifieds".

I assume this is somewhere people go to buy their pets from other users?

I've had lizards, chameleons, cats, dogs, hermit crabs, fish, frogs, you name it. I decided this looked like a good place to be able to discuss the nature of these animals and hopefully obtain some more useful information for future keeping.

Anyway my information under my avatar pretty much does the other half of the introduction for me.

Looking forward to my stay.

Welcome Emily! :D If you were wondering, there is indeed a classifieds section here for users interested in buying or selling. You can view them here http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=841

I don't know if you think this works best for you, but personally I like to view Fauna from the forums index page here http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/index.php because it basically has everything on it at once. You can see the "Board of Inquiry" on that page beneath the auctions. That section goes hand in hand with the classifieds, because it allows you to do research on potential buyers/sellers before you deal with them.
With a bit of tinkering, I'm sure you'll find your favorite site areas in no time. Best of luck exploring, I hope you enjoy it here~ :thumbsup:

Hey Emily,
This is an awesome site to join in on any discussions about exotic animals. The main focus is with reptiles, feeders and caging, but you will find some mammal posts also. Some of the most knowledgeable breeders, dealers and hobbyists are members on this site, so you can pretty much learn anything you want to know, on here. If you ever want to purchase an exotic pet or product, this is one of the best websites to do that, also. They even have trader ratings, and you can investigate the history of anyone on here that you may want to do business with. So, you have come to the right place. Enjoy!

George
