In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey there everyone.

Hey there guys!

After being banned from Kingsnake for no obvious reason :shrug01: , I decided to come and join here. It seems a lot friendlier, anyway. (I CAN say that, right?)

I won't be in the buisness forums much, mainly because I'm in Australia. I'm more here for the herp chat stuff.

I own an awesome little Children's Python. I do a fair bit of field stuff, usually catching Blue Tounge Skinks and Shinglebacks.

So, uhm, that's me. Feel free to drop me a PM or whatever, I don't bite.

Welcome to the Fauna community!! We always have room for another mate!!

Welcome to Fauna, Drew!

Ah, I'd love to go herping in Australia.....pics of your "field stuff" would be more than welcome, if you've got any!

Welcome. I'll be in your area sometime next year. Australia being the last continent I need to visit. Looking at volunteering to assist in whale research by Ningalooo Reef.

Shinglebacks? Awesome, I know several people who are very envious that you are able to do that. They are pretty rare in collections over here.

Wow. Friendly bunch you guys are, lol. It hasn't even been 16 hours yet, and I already have 4 replies.

Cat_72: I don't really have any pics, mostly de to the fear of losing my camera. LOL! I do it mainly in bushland. Despite being a capital city, Adelaide has a *little* bit of bushland on the outskirts in a few places, nothing too major.

Had a few close calls, though. like the time I flipped a log and out popped a brown snake. Didn't go for about 4 months after that...

romad: That's great. Ningaloo is AGES away from Adelaide. If you do end up in Adelaide, though, be sure to do some sightseeing. It's a pretty nice city.

I have heard that about Shinglebacks, don't they go for something like 800 bucks over there?

I guess you guys are lucky, though, you're not resticted no native animals. I want a Hognose snake! :(

Well, I guess the no pics is understandable! Herping in Australia (with lots of pics taken...I am the one that would be herping, my other half would be standing back taking the pics, heh) is on my top 5 list of things to do before I'm too feeble to do it, lol.

Welcome Drew! You're not the only one that has happened to (being banned from kingsnake.com for no good reason!) Glad to see you here though.

Yes Welcome!

I would absolutely love to go to Australia some day.... there are a few places there that i would HAVE to visit! maybe even stop on over in New Zealand too to see the glow worm caverns..... that would be so cool!

Youll really enjoy yourself here at fauna. so pull up a chair, grab a beer ( or a milkshake if youre not 21) and Settle in!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I got an e-mail from Kingsnake saying I was 'trolling the chat'. Don't remember that one...

Mooing Trycycle: It's 18 here, so I can bring a beer. But don't expect it to be that American Budweiser stuff!

Welcome to Fauna Drew!! Man I have always dreamed of going to Australia, that'll never happen though. Can't wait to see some pics.

Sure it could happen. I've always wanted to go the US, and I'll be going some time later this year. I'll be going to Las Vegas and Disneyland for sure.

I'll try and get some pics up in a sec, I have an annoying computer that doesn't like co-operating...

Here we go, a few piccies. It'll make it loko like I live in the outback, but I don't. The Adelaide hills are on the outskirts.

I pulled over at the side of the road and took this one. A dead gum tree (which are everywhere, lol) in he Adelaide hills. Sorry about the blurriness, I had to zoom RIGHT in. I was about 50 metres away.

Just the road really... shows the rockface.

A creek. Again, not much to say here.

There you go guys, some pics of Adelaide. Well, actually 10 minutes away....

Good On Ye! Personally i think Bud/Coors suck!

I like my wheat beers( Heffeweizen) and extra hoppy stuff.

Nice Dark Guinness too of course ^_-

Lol..."if you like sucking on pine trees"

I have a letter system I go by. V=vomit G=gentle. Gin wins.

hehehe

Funny thing for me i dont get sick really ever on vodka, now... if i mix it. thats a different story.

Gin and i are NOT friends. but that could have been the whole pint of Black berry brandy that went along with it.......

One of my favorites. Here's a couple of pictures from a clutch of mine. These little guys are about 15 days old.
