Lady of Scales
Hello Everyone,
My name is Amanda, and just recently ( I think in the last year or so, or possibly less, I'm not actually sure.
I think it says it somewhere on my profile. Haha ) I joined Fauna. This community is an absolutely fascinating one
So, a little about myself I suppose.
I'm a reptile owner. I currently own 11 snakes, 1 Crazy Green Iguana and 1 Argentine Black and White Tegu ( hes about 3.5 years old. ). I found this website shortly after I purchased my Red Tegu about 1.5 years ago ( sadly, he died a few months after I purchased him. I was devastated. )
I wasn't originally interested in snakes at the time. I was more fascinated with Tegu's. Id never heard of Morphs, Red Tails, Sunglows etc etc, it was not too long after my Red Tegu died that I came across the one snake that started it all. Although I own 11 snakes, this one particular snake will always be the " reptilian love of my life "
I came across my lovely Charlie at PetCo, and fell in love on the spot. He's a brilliantly colored Banana King and I laughed so hard when I saw what kind of a snake he was, and instantly named him Charlie, The Banana King ( anyone who has heard of Charlie the Unicorn will understand it. 15 minutes of my life I will NEVER get back. Haha ). Not only does he possess such a brilliant yellow body, but he has the most wonderful and spunky personality I have ever seen in a non-normal pet. So, I had to have him, thats what started it all. I wanted to learn everything I could. In my learning I have found a hidden passion for these powerful creatures. So i'm going to nurture it, and see where it takes me ( and drag Charlie with me along the way
)
I love all of my animals. I work part time, care for 5 cats and a total of 15 snakes ( my fiance has 4 ). My days are filled with adventures, laughter, anger ( sometimes my snakes
me off ), sorrow and an extreme dedication to learning and understanding everything about my snake babies.
I currently own:
1 Banana Kingsnake, Charlie
1 Brazilian Rainbow Boa, Tribal Tango
3 Ball Pythons, Reya-D'Artagnan-Willow
1 Woma Python ( the little s
) Turnip Head
1 Argentine Boa, Dharma ( 6 feet )
1 Burmese Python, Ponkapoag ( the a
hat )
1 Jungle Carpet Python, Eniki ( 7 feet )
1 Amazon Tree Boa, Zahra
1 Red Blood Python, Fondue
Sooooooo many more to come too.
