In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey this is a yellow belly, right?

Amateur here, my first year w/ ball pythons actually. Anyway she was sold to me as a yellow belly but I want to make 100% sure. I can't really tell, shes not as yellow as my male.

She is a proven 07 btw. Her clutch had 2 YBs and 3 normals :( I didn't even think to ask, but I assume the sire was a YB. :shootfoot

And yes I'm wearing a glove. She strikes at the air and inanimate objects, lol. :crazy03:

I would say yes
Yellowbellies are kinda like pastels in that their quality varies quite a bit from snake to snake, clutch to clutch. Some yellowbellies are a tad difficult to say for 100% certainty, as the "indicators" can be somewhat subdued on some animals. Your Bp lacks the yellow that some have, but yours has the distinct patterning of a YB.

Looks like a YB to me. Sounds like she has the YB attitude, TOO!! EVERY single female YB that I have wants to eat me...or at least my fingers! ;)

I've got one YB that you can only tell from looking at the belly (otherwise, she could easily be mistaken for a normal). Another has BRIGHT gold markings. Good luck with her!!

I also agree with this...she seems to have all of the markers that would define the YB. Best of luck with her!

Since Yellow Belly is a co-dominant trait, her being bred to a YB male really wouldn't have any bearing on what she produces other than to increase the odds of more YB's.

Actually, breeding a "true" yellow belly x yellow belly will produce ivories (1 in 4 odds).

Yep.

And that's a nice yellerbelly!

Yeah, thanks for that. Nearly had my face ripped off last night when I opened that tub. Somebody's cranky.

Glad to hear it was only "nearly" ripped off! I told you she had a TUDE!!! But you should see my 1200 and my 1800 gram girls. I don't let them anywhere near my face!! Just plain MEAN, I tell ya!! :reddevil:

Well glad to confirm she's most likely a YB. She's almost 1400 grams too.

But why are YBs such bastards? I open the cage and she's just sitting there saying "c'mon you prick, DO IT!". No hiss just strikes out of nowhere. I hold her occasionally hoping it'll help but I doubt it :/ I even gave her 2 hides hoping it'll reduce her stress.

I hope Ivorys aren't this mean. What we get retarded spiders, broken caramels, dead pearls and pissed off YBs? lol

Looks yellow belly, but the odds of the clutch would suggest ( not prove ) that either her or the male was not a true yellow belly ( het ivory ).
