My name is Dustin I'm 27 years old and been into reptiles for about 4-5 years now. I had a Bull snake and a Savannah monitor before. I always wanted a Nile monitor ever since my friend Kent showed me his Nile. He was about 5-6ft in length and tame like a dog. Now I know not all Niles are nice and I have learned that from my 3 month old baby Nile "Gator" lol. He's about a foot long and doesn't like to held much, even though I do 30 mins each day. I have him in a wood cage 2ft wide, 3ft long, and 2ft tall, found out its way cheaper to build your own vs buying a glass one. I plan to build a bigger one in the next month with a running waterfall into a pond area. Wish I had better wood skills lol I weld/fabricate steel structural and off road parts for Jeeps so the new cage should be fun, lol. Anyhow figured I'd say hi and I will be sure to post pics later today.
