    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, figured it was time for an introduction.

He's a cinnamon green cheek conure...and he's very brave for his puny size. LOL.

OK, so I have little wimpy snakes, and little wimpy birds compared to you all......LOL.

Great pics, though. ;)

Cat, I thought it wasn't the size that counts??? :dgrin: I'm sorry, I couldn't help myself.

Cat, can you even believe this, that cute little conure is considered a "dangerous" animal in NJ and is illegal to keep, there are acutal wild flocks of them not too far from where I live. Its all of the escapee's(?) from NJ and NY...they started their own little green gang!

Thanks John, I Think Alot Of People Are Intimidated By All The Stories They Hear. But Im A Firm Believer In Interacting With Them Daily, And Feeding Them In Seperate Tubs. Ive Had Them For 3 Years Now And Can Honestly Say Ive Been Bitten Once, But That Came From Stupidity, I Put My Cargo Of Rats In There Room For 2 Hours Before I Fed Them, And Was Told,"by My Norm Retic Nerf" That I Cant Tease Them Like That. And Learned My Lesson!lol

Oh S***! We've all done dumb stuff and paid for it later in one way or another, but I'd prefer mine not to be on the business end of a retic...OUCH! LOL. Truthfully though its not sooooo much the evil stories I've heard (although that IS part), but just the sheer potential size of them as f/g adults. YIKES! Still they're gorgeous man. Good luck with them.

Yea I Hear You On The Potential Size! Thats Why After This Weekend When I Get My 12 Ft Het Bino Male Burm, And My Yearling Albino 66% Het Labrynth, Im Done With The Big Ones Until I Get A Bigger House! Thats Why I Actual Wanna Get Into Breeding Is So I Can Afford More Snakes, A Bigger Place, And.... Well Bottom Line, So I Can Support My Good Habbit! (collecting Reptiles!)

Yeah seriously, how stupid is that! I showed the breeder (where my roomie got his Shamrock) the Dept. of Fish & Wildlife papers, and the guy nearly fell out of his chair laughing. Welcome to NJ - where NOTHING makes sense. The state where you can keep a BCC and not need permits but BCI's do :confused: ...go figure.

Believe me I feel that! Same situation here.

Welcome to Fauna John!! Nice to have a fellow Jerseyan here. Sounds like you definitely got your hands full. Can't wait to see some pics of the collection.

Thanks Jessica, its good to be here. One of these days I'll try to get some decent shots of the babies, when I have about 6 free hours to kill (i'm not a really good photographer by ANY means).

Talkin Bout Messed Up Laws, Where I Live In Des Moines, Its Broken Up Into "suburbs" Like West Desmoines Where I Live, Ankey, Grimes, waukee, Etc.... But West Des Moines Is The Only Part Of Des Moines Where Its Legal To Have Reptiles That Grow Over 6 Ft, And Illegal In All The Other Ones! Wtf! The Only Thing Required From Me Is That I Contact The City Within A Half An Hour Of Its Escape.
