    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi, figured it was time for an introduction.

It sounds like Des Moines is divided up like Berlin was!!! Ha ha.
Seriously, I do belive that is the most retarded thing I've heard this week (I hear a lot of dumb things, daily, in the line of work I'm in). Must be one of those old school laws that they just haven't updated yet, like the BCC/ BCI thing in NJ. Yet, its good for you until (g-forbid) they update the statutes! I'm just waiting for the day that they outlaw my S.O.C. (Species of Choice (clever, huh, I sound like an addict) ) in NJ completely, should be coming any day now and it won't take much to get it passed in this state...unless there is $ to to keep it from going through....capise?
 
Sometimes if you're lucky, you can get "Grandfathered in" with your large snakes.......not very often, but once in awhile it does happen.
 
Hi Cat - Off hand - do you know of any area's that actually did grandfather in large constrictors? I'd like to do a little research on it. Gotta prepare for the future...

I have absolutely NO faith in our state and especially and local govt here, so I'm fully expecting to have to give my snakes up one day, or at the very least, have issues concerning them.
 
No, I honestly can't tell you any specifics with constrictors, just "hearsay". I do know of a couple of places that I believe did so with Pit Bulls and other "banned" canines. I THINK Des Moines actually did this with Pit Bulls.

Moronic city ordinances is just one of the many reasons I choose to live miles from anywhere....they can't touch me or my animals, and there's no nosy neighbors to be peeking in and complaining about them anyway. ;)
