    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi everyone my name is Luis; I’ve owned several reptiles since I was around 6 years old a couple box turtles and some anoles. When I was in 7th grade my dad bought me a ball python, he was the greatest pet ever, but sadly he passed away 2 years ago. Now I own a two month old savannah monitor lizard named Geoff, he’s pretty cool got a little bit of an attitude any tips on taming him down are welcome.

Welcome to Fauna.

Savanna's usually calm down after they realize you aren't out to eat them!

You might want to post your question on the monitor forum.

Ive owned about 7 savannahs now, had to rehome them, but now that I'm older and stable I've got 2 my older one Tank unsure exact age bout 2 and half ft, he was given to me by some1 unable to take care of him any longer is very calm can do just about any thing to him but takes him bout 20 seconds to calm once picked up. Now my younger savannah Rex is very aggressive, but I can say that almost all juveniles are. Just be patient and continue to hold him or her daily. One tip is have a seperate box or cage to place it in when feeding. If feeding it in the cage it stays in its always goin to associate the door or lid opening with feeding time. Whether its food or your finger. Message me anytime with questions and I'll help the best that I can.
