In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Laura, and I'm a bugaholic.
Top two: the big, fat girl who lives under the backyard tub I use to wash my larger dogs .. along with a hopeful male (don't know what his fate was).
Bottom two: the baby Garden spider that decided my car mirror was
a great place for a web - the other photo is self-explanatory.

Wow, that black widow has the most vibrant hourglass I've ever seen! :O

Thanks everybody - Dave, I'd love to see your photos!

Tyler, that girl is really pretty and healthy.
Here's last year's girl under that same tub - I don't know if '09's girl is this same one as this year, but '09 was every bit as beautiful :)
(Along with a couple other '09 summer shots)

That last pic is great! And the first one looks like a big girl. What kinda spider is in the last pic?

Thanks, John - they're all over the place, I get obsessed taking their photos :)

Tyler, the last pic is a female Argiope Garden spider - they're literally everywhere around my hosue. There are two smaller spiders in her web; one you can easily see, the other is at the bottom right corner -I'm not sure what they were exactly (they aren't males), or why they are in her web, but they weren't trapped.

OH. MY. GOD. why did I click on this thread...... I've got the heebeejeebees now!!

.......running from room screaming like a sissy.......

Wow, Dave - that is one gorgeous Cobalt Blue! Gotta love that motherly Emperor love, too. And I recognize that pretty molting roach face, Dave :) Thanks for sharing!

Tyler, Garden spiders toxicity is nill. They're very cool and calm - they do shake their webs when aggitated or feel threatened, but rarely move much.

I was about to ask the most noobish arachnid question but my "spidey senses" (lame-o) were right... Blue Cobalt :D

and Laura, your photos are awesome.
