    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello all!
My name is Tabby. I have been an AVID pet owner ever since I could convince my parents to keep anything! Thankfully, they were very accommodating and I can't really remember not owning a pet! I currently own an Arabian mare named Glory (25 years old!), a lab mix girl (Pepper), an African Grey parrot (Dudley), a normal ball python (Snuffleupagus), a dwarf hamster (Blackberry) an African cichlid tank, an angelsfish tank and a little community tank.
The story of my python: I am a high school science teacher and one of my colleagues mentioned that an acquaintance of his had this snake she wanted to get rid of. I am a big sucker for rescues so I took him on. (I have never had him sexed but they told me he's a he so I'll go with that for now). Anyway, he was a pitiful mess! He was thin and had three layers of retained shed over the entire length of his body! Thankfully his eyes and tail were ok! After a few good soakings and some serious feedings he's really put on some weight and has had 4 or 5 healthy sheds. I think he could still gain a little but this time of year he doesn't eat as well. Seems to take a break. Hopefully he'll pick up again soon. Had a good feed just last night so I have high hopes. I take Snuffleupagus (Snuffy) back and forth to school so he spends lots of time with people. I have had Snuffy for about a year and a half now and love him to bits. He's super friendly and an overall great guy. He is the first snake I've owned and I've learned a lot and have really come to love keeping him. I'd like to add to my collection and possibly breed in the future. I'm here to learn what I can so I can be sure to do it the right way. Also, it will be nice to have someone to talk to about my love of pets. My husband thinks I'm crazy! LOL!
I'm glad to be here and I am looking forward to getting to know you!
:)

Welcome! It's always great to find other people interested in the hobby.This is definitely the place to learn. I would suggest checking out the BP forum. There are always interesting topics being discussed, as well as beautiful pics to look at.
