    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Haha! Cheers Sue. Its always nice to find a new forum! I really will have to get some new pics soon. How is your Bosc going? Got that enclosure finished yet?

Your youngest may be in for a treat in a few months time. The Ackies have been locked all over Christmas and the new year so i hope i will be seeing some fertile eggs soon!

Ill put your name down on the top of the list for a baby! lol!

Nooooo!! Enclosure not finished yet :( (kicks hubby again) It's all in one piece and looks like a regular viv you might buy in a shop except a lot bigger with a high front bit at the bottom and extra supports inside. The outside has been painted and for the inside we've found here in the UK on the internet something that sounds very much like the FRP the folks on repticzone recommend. Basically hard plastic sheeting (I'll try and find the link). I've got my bulbs all ready but am still agonizing what to do night-time - whether to stick ordinary red bulbs in or put in a couple of CHEs. Did you ever go for the MVBs?

I'm working on being allowed an ackie - would just one be happy in a 4x2x2 enclosure? (Sav's old viv)
 
Cool! It would be great if you could find the link, I'm still looking for something to line the new albig enclosure with (12x8x4)

I am going to use MVB's in the new enclosure as well as normal par38 floods. The enclosure is large enough to provide several basking sites so I'm going to see if they prefer the MVB,s over the standard types.

I have decided on CHE's for the night time. I have been running the same ones 24/7 in my snake viv's for over 6 months and non have failed yet so I'm quite pleased. I friend of mine also owns a pet shop so i get most bits at trade price.

An ackie would be fine in a 4x2x2, you could even house a pair or at a push a trio in an enclosure that size. They really are great, so entertaining. BT's will always be my fav but i can't recommend ackies enough!

Hi Rick

Sorry for delay - it's been manic here - Dave and I are off to Malta in about an hour for a couple of days and its total mayhem trying to organize the family.

The link for the FRP stuff is http://www.peninsulaplastics.co.uk/ and it looks pretty good. We intend to line the sides, back and bottom with it - assume the top won't need doing.

Best of luck with it, it looks as though it's just the stuff , let me know how you get on.

The ackie sounds really cute - people here are also wanting tortoises ... :rolleyes:
