In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....
What gets me, is the permits he needed to have to keep these animals were issued for FREE! So why not go ahead and get them??

That would probably be because to get the permits they would want to do at least some sort of inspection to make sure the animals were being housed securely and properly and there was no way in hell he was going to let anyone near that dump.:shrug01:

You know I've been wondering the same thing. Things were going so hot and heavy for so long then poof nothing. Could someone nearer the scene of the crime please inform the rest of us

Court date set for Allen snake farm suspects

OBERLIN -- Arraignment for an Allen Parish couple charged with defying a state snake permit law and mistreating animals has been set.

District Attorney Todd Nesom tells The Lake Charles American Press that 44-year-old David Beauchemin and his 23-year-old wife, Tawni, will be arraigned on Sept. 2.

The Beauchemins are charged with 21 counts of simple cruelty to animals and one count of possession of snakes longer than 12 feet without a required state permit.

They also face charges of violating interstate commerce by selling snakes that were not legal to possess; theft of less than $300 by fraud; telephone harassment; and cyberstalking.

The Beauchemins were arrested in March after authorities received a complaint that they were illegally selling animals on the Internet.

Thanks for the Update! Do you know if the warrant was issued for him under his real name, Damon Heynan?

looking for a snake in the grass

Well Like the old saying goes "it’s harder than trying to catch than a snake in the grass". If The police there are as over booked (pun intended) as most agencies are now days then we (you guys that know him) need to help. That's not saying you aren't now. Is there a tip line for that police force? Or a web site for that jurisdiction?
I don't know this pair on sight but if there are updated pics that would help. I don't hit too many herp Shows south of KY but do go to several in IN. OH and ILL And will try to keep my eyes open. I also am a member of the Ky Herp Society (www.kyherpsoc.org) and go to the Hoosier Herp Society www.agreenerindiana.com/group/hoosierherpsociety meeting every couple of months. A lot of good herpers belong to these originations.

Off topic alittle But I'm still looking for another crazy herper that goes by thi name of Fred Dolan. Anyone know him or know of him?

damon

damon is a greedy little weasel. he is also addicted to the hobby. he will lay low for 6-8 months and rebuild his collection. we just have to watch for some new guy on the scene who pretends to be incredibly important and focuses on the giant constrictors. then, we can tip off the 5-0 and he can go right back to the slammer!

did you miss me, damon?

Changing One's Name

Now, since the warrant was issued in the name of 'david beauchemin,' can we presume that damon heynen has legally changed his name?

Second, in order to try and track him down I was just wondering if anyone on here knows how difficult it is to change one's name... he obviously cant use the beauchemin or heynen name in the future if he wants to come back into the hobby. Therefore, he is all but forced to change it.

How difficult is this to do? Does it vary depending in which state you are in? And, will the government allow it if their are warrants out on any of his old names?

Although the difference in name isn't quite the same since he would still actually have to change his name before it would work, but I've seen that the authorities don't really seem to put much work into making sure someone never had another name or that the one they think is the current name is even correct.

My dad's ex girlfriend had no less than 6 different ID's, including social security cards, that were all legit at one time or another because she had been married that many times. She just actually went around continuing to get those ID's updated using the SS cards and ended up having warrants all here in Louisiana under every single one of her names.
But not once did they manage to link one offense with the other and actually arrest her while citing her for another offense just because she would hand them ID's with a new last name on them.

So he could very easily pay the $100 or less for a new last name, keep racking up these warrants like the one he has in Arizona I believe it is, and the authorities would be none the wiser.

It seems like until the offense is something along the lines of murder they don't really check into whether or not there are other possible aliases, too much man power required I guess.

Speaking of Murder...

Many thanks for your reply, Aleria. And speaking of murder, did you know that damon heynen is in fact a convicted murderer and drug-dealer? That is 100% true. Also, at one point he kidnapped a woman back when he was in California.

The charges in Arizona are peanuts compared to what this felon has done in the past. Sadly though, you are correct and no one really seems to be paying attention...

Seems like short of actually getting our hands on absolute proof of his other aliases and dropping it in their laps while they actually have him in their grasp he's just going to be able to keep walking away and starting all over again.

Might be a good idea to all keep our eyes out for signs of his girlfriend considering she doesn't appear to have changed her name as many times, if at all legally, and it doesn't seem like he's going to just leave her behind when he moves elsewhere. So she may slip up easier than a felon like him.
