Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The authorities are aware of all of his aliases...... The agents showed me a list of them... but his real name is Damon Heynen....... that is an undisputed fact now......

We're not sure what will happen with all 200 of the snakes under 12 feet since they are out of anyone's jurisdiction.... and the local humane society doesnt consider reptiles to have rights like they do cats and dogs....

Anyway the best thing we can do is make sure everyone knows what kind of guy this is..... the only way to stop him is to put him out of business!!..

He will be hurt financially because all of his breeders were taken.... maybe this will do the trick

Do you have a website address for the police agency that has him in custody? A copy of he and his skanky wife's mugshots would make a beautiful decoration for this thread

so, are these confiscated snakes up for rehoming, only in that state, or can anybody try to help and adopt any of these animals

Thank goodness, and hopefully they will not be able to ever own any animals again.

Unfortunately since the laws in Louisiana are so laxed... he will be able to continue his little operation with all of his snakes under 12 feet. His wife was released today ROR.... good news is... Louisiana WIldlife and Fisheries is going to deny a permit for him, so he will be in violation of the law everytime a snake gets over 12 feet.... He will probably do what he's done in the past... pick up and move to another state... change his name... and try to fool people once again.... I think some of the officials have pointed the IRS in his direction as well...


So what can we do?? We need to keep tabs on this guy.... tell your friends in the industry ... spread the word.... and let this guy know that We as an industry wont stand for or endorse this level of husbandry...... We need to show that we can police our own industry....

All of the reptiles seized are being shipped to a dealer in south florida who is going to sell them at low prices to raise money for non profit organizations

It said in the news casting that they were "both" behind bars........you mention she is released. Is he still there? If so once his prints hit NCIC check which should have been by now, they will discover who he indeed is if he is in fact using an alias.

Our local system allows you to call the jail and inquire about individuals. A name and a DOB will get you the charges and bail amount (and the true name if it differs).

I don't mean to single you out on this, Ryan...but I want to stop this early.
Please contact that party privately rather than pursue the adoption topic in this thread. While the dispensation of the animals may have some tangent relevance to this thread, opening that subject here would probably be fairly disruptive.

Some photos were sent to me from an anonymous source close to the investigation...

We were in agreement on the fact that people needed to see this. The video shows some of the terrible conditions, but these pictures show even more.
