Judging a book by it's cover is judging someone by the way they look.
We are judging you based on your actions, words and your choice to support a disgusting animal abuser, scammer, etc. And everyone is free to judge who they wish, when that person comes along and tries to tell those of us that have actually been here long enough to know all of this idiots history and says to us(to paraphrase) that "he is a GREAT GUY and you are all wrong and don't know anything!"
Until you have actually done the leg work and read ALL of the threads about this monster that include all of this proof you are requesting, don't come on here calling us liars and telling us that we need to go pull up all this proof all over again just to prove you wrong. Do it your d@mn self, no one is stopping you from reading it all just as we all have.

Wasnt there some information regarding him being convicted of murder as well? Gee, if a jury of his peers found him guilty of murder, surely it wouldnt be surprising to see that he would stoop so low to maybe rip someone off?

His original charge was manslaughter when they arrested him. He was convicted of murder several months later. So yes.

Exactly why I had stopped replying until now. It's extremely clear that Edgar hasn't read a damn thing on the resulting posts to my first inquiry on GutterEndHerps back in 2006. No sense in wasting the skin on my fingers for someone that doesn't have a damn clue as to what really has happened.

No one is judging you persay but, as the old saying goes... You are who you associate with comes into play here. You are adamantly defending your transaction with a known "problem" in this industry. While I admire your defense of him, it doesnt even begin to clean the tarnish that this man has created for himself.

The whole point in this is why are you defending him and saying he's such an awesome guy. You received a couple snakes from him and the transaction went smoothly? Congrats, but its horrible what he did/has done to the animals and the customers he had. I dont know why your boasting about such awesome animals from him either, I wouldnt even take a FREE snake from the conditions he kept his animals in. I wouldnt be surprised if the neighbors got diseases from living next to that dump pile. Thats a 'facility' or 'house'? I'd expect nothing would be able to live in some junk place like that.

I received that e-mail mentioned earlier just a day or two ago. I have to be honest, I was very tempted to make an offer on the bredli pair, until I remembered hearing something about a LA "snake farm" getting busted and thought to come take a look at the BOI. Wow. I guess that's all I can say is wow.

Even if he were giving those snakes away AND paying shipping to get them there, I just don't think it'd be worth it. I do hope the rest of those animals end up in proper facilities.

Just for informational purposes, Not sticking up for these people in any way. Only 3 of the seized animals passed away. The rest are being kept, (out of the state of LA) and should be able to be sold soon, as by their own by-laws ( In LA) say that the animals cannot be returned to the owners they were seized from. Some of these animals are really nice considering the conditions that the owners lived in. There was no running water, you had to walk on cinder blocks with wood on top just to stay out of the mud and chicken fieces. The animals were actually living better than the people but thats not saying much. They were living in a 20X24 garage/shed where the toilet had a pipe that ran out in back of there place onto the ground. NICE! Also the girl/ wife?? in this situation has been with him since she was like 14-15 yrs old. (stated they had been together 7-8 yrs already and she is only 22-23 yrs old. I dont know about where you live but in Fla. Thats illegal! But thats neither here nor there since she is legal age now. Anyway the animals that were seized are being well kept Now and as soon as this case goes to court which if it hasnt in the last couple weeks it should be real soon, ( havent kept up on the court dates). But if you b ought from this guy and you had a smooth transaction and got what you paid for the good for you. But 1 or 2 good transactions dose not make him a good person, when there is so much evidence to the contrary. These people shouldnt be allowed to keep the animals they still have. The only ones seized were over 12 ft. He got to keep all the rest, even in the conditions they were in. But as said before, the animals were living in better conditions than the people. What gets me, is the permits he needed to have to keep these animals were issued for FREE! So why not go ahead and get them?? Just doesnt make a whole lot of sense to me. And the reason i know this is because Me and a friend went and met Joe and Shawn and picked these animals in question up and brought them to another facility where they are now being housed properly.
