If this post is redundant I apologize but after doing my own research I still don't have the answer.
So I have a baby Easter hermans tortoise. About 1 year old, I've had him for 7 months. I'm dealing with some pyramiding on his shell. Despite having a large enough water dish to soak in. So recently I bought a reptifogger to raise the humidity in his tank. It's been 3 days with the fogger in use and by day 3 he barely ate anything at all. And he has always been a good eater.
It seems he doesn't like the fog because he stays on the opposite side of where the fogger hose is pretty much all the time that I've been using it.
He is in a 40 gal breeder tank. He has a hide, a giant water dish, and spagnum moss for bedding. As well as a couple little fake rock plant things. He has a uva/uvb light going across most of the tank. As well as a ceramic heat lamp. Basking spot gets to be in the high 80s maybe even a little higher.
I don't understand why my little guy doesn't just soak in his water if he's dehydrated. I use dechlorinated tap that I let sit out for 24 hrs before use.
Please help me out. It kills me to see this happening.
