Are Hogg Island Boas and Hog Island Boas the same snake? Ive seen them both ways. Or is one a cross? thanks

In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.

Responding to email notices you receive.

In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

They're both the same snake. "Hogg" is simply a misspelling that some people have run with.

some use hogg to designate a cross..
" a cross" or morphed(cleaned up) variant far removed from standard WT(wild type)
Many breeders like Russo(and others)headed this direction to "clean up" the examples and ruined a good portion of the Hog Isle locales uniqueness.
A breeder first coined the double G after throwing a litter and replicating the production of these clean,high pink variants to wild type.The new "market" took off and fizzled after about 2yrs and was flooded with in 4yrs to its current state with increasingly fewer "clean animals" offered.
There is quite abit more to the story but left untold and behind us is far better for the hobby.
Bottom Line "Hogg" is pure $marketing$ and remains unsupported by any known national dialect.
Stop supporting(buying/breeding) these cleaned up mutts and they will go away.

I thought the 'hogg' term first came about when the salmon/sunset crosses were made? (locality crosses?)

Anyone know anyone selling pure Hog babys? I really dont want a cross. I found one for sale from a guy named Dan Eby on Kingsnake.com(i cant find him on this site) Anyone ever dealt with him? He has two for sale, one says pure. But I just dont know. Any help would be great. Thanks!
Dan has been around a good while,cant vouch for his stock
