In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Just curious, I searched these fourms for holbrooki and speckled and not much comes up at all.

Are these guys not very popular amoungst the king snakes folks? I really know very little about them, but I'm curious.

Anyone know where some solid information is on these guys?

Anyone know of someone that works with holbrooki specifically?

Thanks, I'd love to find out more.

Specks

Well they are not half as popular as many other Kings but of course some people do like and keep them. They're not much different than many other Kings as far as requirements and they're very nice looking animals. There are a few morphs too. Albino, Lavender and the latest is the White Sided. I think some believe they are more inclined to bite than other Kings but there's also calm ones that make good pets. They are known to intergrade with other Kings too, Desert Kings[ i am pretty certain of that anyway] for one........and those intergrades are very nice looking too. I have a group of them and they're a lot of fun to have around. They calmed down a lot and are easy going snakes with a good appetite and are low maintenance. If you would like to see some pics of my White Sided and the hets email me at [email protected] Tom Stevens

Thanks Tom...an email has been sent to you.

I'm still looking for anything on the web specific to the holbrooki's (speckled kings) if anyone else has any links?

Links to specific breeders that work with them would be great too!

I just don't know the Kingsnake crowd and who is who.

Thanks again,
Quigs

I don't know who works with them either. If I choose to go away from cornsnakes and concentrate more on kingsnakes, then I will probably eventually try to get a breeding pair of speckled kings and also the black kingsnake (I can never remember which one is the all-black black kingsnake)

Beautiful animals, that is for sure!

Is it a no no to post pics here? Or do I have to post them in the pic gallery?

Sorry, I'm not very up on Fauna rules, I don't frequent this place enough.

Thanks,
Quigs

You may post photos here, in the photo gallery, or in the photo forum. I would encourage you to use the photo gallery... as you post the photos there, each one has the code necessary to refer to it in a message, which reduces the load on the fauna system, and allows your photos to get higher exposure!
