    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

At almost a thousand posts a day, this place may be coming up on a million posts in a couple months. I think we should plan a virtual party :D
 
Yeah, I've been watching those statistics myself.

Here's a graph showing new posts over the past two years...

I think you can see the obvious point whereby I decided to shut down all the ad bumping taking place in the classifieds....

Next graph is for the number of new threads posted here over the past two years...

Since this indicates the number of new topics, it probably is heavily weighted towards the number of new classified ads posted.

And lastly, here' the graph of the new registrations over the past two years....

I'm not sure how this graph actually works in relation to counting only RAW registrations, or filtering out those that have been rejected because of incomplete or inaccurate registration info. But it gives a good rough idea.

There is one other graph that the statistics page allows me to view that covers the number of registered members logging into the site, but unfortunately the programmers for vBulletin have continued to neglect putting in an option of creating the graph on anything other than a daily basis. So it makes the graph unwieldy. Suffice it to say that those numbers are increasing as well.

But in any event, it is really encouraging to see this site back into a growing pattern.

it would be awesome if we hit 1 million the same time as the 10 yr anniversary, but at this rate, it will hit before 2/2012!

Congrats, Pooh-bah!! Just when you thought you could close up shop and have us all just go away, we made sure you have to be here till you die...and then some!!
