    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hoping for something good!!

Hey everyone. So, I picked up a couple of gravid girls from an importer a few weeks back, one "Granite" and one "Burgandy". Within the first week, the "Granite" laid 7 fertile eggs. It was surprising to me, considering she only weighed around 1700 grams when I got her. I am waiting for the "Burgandy" to drop her clutch, which should be any day now by the look of her. I'm thinking she will give me 5 or 6. I decided to let them maternally incubate... I know, I know, there are a lot of folks out there that are against the maternal route, but I figured it would stress them less and they both seem to be mature enough to have done it before. I am monitoring the temps and humidity in their cages and everything seem to be going well. I will get some pics of them up here soon, I work a LOT! I doubt anything will happen, but it really excites me to know that I have genetics from 4 different animals at work. I would love to see something crazy pop out of those eggs. Even if I just wind up getting expressions of the traits I see in these girls, I would be happy. Anybody else using maternal incubation who has any special tips for me? Anyone ever hatch out something unexpected with a WC or any other animal that blew your mind?

Well, the secong girl layed 7 good looking eggs on Easter. I have been keeping their temp at 88-89, with plenty of humidity. So, now I play the waiting game. One of the eggs from the clutch the "Granite" layed went bad, but the others seem to be fine. I have candled them a couple times, and the veins are clearly defined in all of the eggs. The first girl layed on 3/24, so, I'm thinking May 8th-ish on the due date. My daughters are as excited as I am to see those little guys come out of their eggs. I have tried to post pics, but they are all on an sd card that I can't use with my DINO laptop. Once I figure out how to get them uploaded, I will put some up.
